Massage Techniques for Stress Relief

Description:
In this workshop, participants will learn some basic massage therapy techniques to help with stress relief. Come prepared for hands on training! We will start with discussion and move quickly into massage techniques for shoulders, neck, head, hands and feet. Each participant needs to bring one towel along with them to this class. Please wear comfortable clothing. You may be sitting or resting on the floor. We will work in pairs so that all participants may have the experience of giving and receiving the massage therapy techniques. Aromatherapy oils will be used in this workshop.

Presenter Details:
Gail B. Williams is a graduate of Florida State University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy. She is a Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist (#195) with over thirty years of experience in the state of North Carolina. In 1984, Gail helped form the North Carolina Chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association. The first year National Certification for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork became available, she tested in. She also joined the first ranks of Massage Therapists to be licensed in the state in 2000. Gail has been teaching Massage Therapy since 1980 and enjoys working with students of all ages.
