Description:
This workshop would be of interest to those planning to teach high school English and possibly middle school language arts. I will model specific strategies for engaging students in reading, including both pre-, during, and post- reading activities. Students will leave with handouts and instructions for various activities that will make literature fun for the reluctant reader.

Presenter Details:
Stephanie Sellers is a Teaching Fellow alumna from UNC Wilmington class of 2007. She currently works at West Davidson High School in Lexington, North Carolina. Ms. Sellers teaches 9th, 10th, and 11th grade English. She also serves as the student council advisor. In her spare time, Ms. Sellers enjoys traveling and volunteering at the Humane Society.
