Creating a Toolkit for Today's Classroom
Workshop Number: 36 Presenter: Brenda Most Description: Freeman Dyson stated, “The technologies which have had the most profound effects on human life are usually simple.” Does one have to have a wired classroom to be an effective and engaging teacher? Our Classrooms are often as diverse as the students who venture in each day. How does a beginning teacher engage students in active learning when the dollars for technology may not be there? We will look at developing a teaching toolbox with a variety of both low and high tech activities to accommodate the diverse learner in today’s classroom. Any classroom can be successful and encourage growth for any student with the right “tools in hand”.
