It's no secret that the first year or two of teaching can be overwhelming! One of the best ways to survive the unavoidable chaos is to be organized and prepared. Planning ahead can actually help you become more flexible! In this session, practical, easy ideas for managing your day to day classroom life will be presented. Walk away with templates and tools you can use as-is or adapt to fit your needs.

Presenter Details:
Amanda McRary is a Teaching Fellow alumna who attended the University of North Carolina at Asheville, graduating in 2001 with her degree in psychology and K-6 teaching licensure. After spending seven years teaching third and fourth grades in Buncombe County Schools and Hickory City Schools, she became the AIG Lead Teacher for Newton-Conover City Schools, a position she has held for two years. Amanda completed AIG licensure in the summer of 2008 and in December 2009, she graduated with her Masters of School Administration from Appalachian State University.
