Description:
Lots of fun and interactive lesson ideas for the high school and middle school social studies classroom. With a little imagination & creativity, some construction paper and markers, and a bunch of energy, social studies can be every student’s favorite class. These lesson ideas will engage students while incorporating the NCSCOS.

Presenter Details:
Stacey Jarvis is a NC Teaching Fellow from UNC-Wilmington. She is a National Board Certified Teacher (AYA Social Studies). Ms. Jarvis received her M. Ed at UNC-Charlotte. She is the author of Everything I Need to Know About Teaching…They Forgot to Tell Me (by Corwin Press). She is also currently serving as a part-time Instructor at UNC-Charlotte (School of Education) and has 10 years teaching in Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools.
