Presenter Details:
Mr Gibson has taught Health and Phys. Educ. In the small mountain town of Black Mtn., N.C. for 21 years. One of his main focuses is to teach children to live a healthy lifestyle while encouraging them to get out and explore the unique community in which they live. He inspires children and staff to take advantage of the many opportunities to hike, pedal, camp, climb, paddle and play in an area that abounds in natural beauty. Mr Gibson earned an ASD from Montreat Anderson College and attained a BA from Catawba College. He is currently an adjunct professor at Montreat College and presents workshops and facilitates focus groups in his area. Mr Gibson was recently awarded the NCAAHPERD, NCAAHE 2008 North Carolina Elementary Health Educator of the Year.
